Research School

Developing the next generation of clinical researchers

The ESPNIC Research School is an advanced educational programme designed to strengthen research knowledge and build research capacity in paediatric and neonatal intensive care.

Open to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and researchers, the programme combines lectures, interactive workshops, small-group discussions and networking opportunities to support participants throughout every stage of the research journey – from developing a research question to publishing scientific results.

Led by an international faculty of experienced clinician-scientists, the Research School promotes multidisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice and the development of national and international research networks. Participants are encouraged to discuss their own projects, exchange ideas with peers and receive practical guidance on research methodology, scientific communication and publication.

A distinctive feature of the programme is the 3-Minute Study Pitch, where participants present their research ideas in a concise and engaging format.

The best presentations receive the ESPNIC Research School Awards, recognising excellence in scientific communication and research potential.

Applications are open to both ESPNIC members and non-members.

ESPNIC members benefit from preferential registration fees as part of the Society’s commitment to supporting education, research and professional development. Information on the current programme, application deadlines and registration fees is published with each annual call.
